Sports around the world are on hold as the Coronavirus pandemic and the unprecedented situation that comes with it have swept globe, and it couldn't have happened at a worse time. Both the NBA and NHL seasons were entering crunch time, Opening Day was just days away for the MLB, and The Masters was also knocking on the door when the pause button was hit. Yet, worst of all, COVID-19 halted March Madness. Taking the time to actually explain why the cancellation of the tournament would take its own blog entry, but I'll just operate on the basis that sports fans, like me, live for March Madness. At the very least, I hope you can appreciate the special place it holds on the sports calendar.

So there's no March Madness. But we can't just accept that, can we? There must be at least some madness, right? After all, it's Still March.

After much careful deliberation, Patrick and I settled on a compromise of the two things we love most about March Madness: the bracket and the uniforms. Hopefully by now you see where we've gone with this.

Here's how it works

We've split the bracket up into 4 "regions:" NBA, NCAA Men's Power 6 teams, NCAA Men's Mid-Major teams, and NCAA Women's teams. We then self-nominated the top teams in said categories and ranked them 1-16, with the average positioning of our rankings being the determining factor in the final seedings.

Here's where you come in. Every Tuesday (Tourney Tuesday? Yeah, I like that), you can vote for which teams will advance to the next round until we determine a winner sometime in April. Just make sure you're voting based on uniform sets only. That's the only rule. More on voting later.

Here's how you vote

We've tried to make it as easy as possible to vote. All you have to do is click the blue links at the bottom of the the bracket and pick the winner of each matchup. I even included a handy little picture in case you didn't remember what the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Women's Basketball uniforms looked like (no worries if you did).

Here's the bracket:

Here's where you can actually vote

If you've made it this far, great job! Keep coming back here on Tuesday for updated voting and the latest look at our bracket. Remember, always vote for Syracuse!

PLEASE STAY AT HOME AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING, AND FOLLOW ALL OF THE GOVERNMENT'S SUGGESTED AND MANDATED PROTOCOLS. REMEMBER, IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT YOU, AND YOU COULD BE PUTTING OTHERS AT RISK.
